An apology & a bit of beauty

Colorado’s second snow of the season along The Front Range settled in yesterday. In Boulder County, we received only a dusting. It was enough to make things look new, different as we move from fall into winter’s cold.
I have been a bad blogger this week. (Bad Blogger sounds like a NC-17-rated movie, right?)
Life has gotten away from me. With work, a recovering dog, household chores, physical therapy and general slacking, I haven’t been my best blogger. (Best Blogger sounds like a G-rated movie, right?) To add to this, I am putting out a rather anemic post today. I’m sorry. Tomorrow is The Weed’s birthday. He has been traveling for work this week. So, I need to get my domestic self in gear and prepare for his return.
I hope to have a nice, quiet weekend with him. No more sick dogs. No more snow. Just a nice celebration of his 46th year. We’ll see how that turns out.
It snowed yesterday in Colorado. Our second snow of the season along The Front Range. In Boulder County, we had just a dusting. Still, it made me pull in my pumpkins and turn up the heat. The Weed, who is in California, sent me a photo of towering palm trees and taunted me with his trip to In-N-Out Burger. Not cool.
This morning as I completed some early errands, I stopped and blocked traffic at the bank so I could snap a photo of the snow in the morning sunshine. I thought it was pretty. Hope you do, too.
Thanks for reading. I hope to do better next week. Have a great weekend! ~Kelley
