Still sick

Bravo had a quiet weekend. We will return to see the vet this afternoon. We hope to get some answers about why he isn’t eating on his own. P.S. Feeding GERBER baby food from a syringe to a large uncomfortable puppers is not pleasant. P.P.S. Dear GERBER: Your chicken and gravy blend tastes like nothing I’ve ever encountered in nature. I, sadly, now know this.

Not much new to report from my corner of the world. 

I don’t want to blog about cancer.

I don’t want to do much at all.

Bravo remains sick.

We will return to see the vet this afternoon. Bravo still is not eating on his own. He’s drinking water. He’s moving about more readily. However, he’s still sick.

We spent the weekend around the house, watching over him, feeding him baby food from a syringe, and hoping things would change.

We have seen subtle improvements. Bravo had enough energy to go for short walks. He also seemed more comfortable. No drooling. No doggy complaints. I reduced the painkiller doses and his wobbly gait is better. He’s also not so disoriented. He’s not getting ‘lost’ every time he goes outside.

I keep thinking these are improvements. They are. Still, we don’t know what’s making Big Man so sick.

I really wish I could do more. I wish I could write more. Some of the best writers in the world are able to put pen to paper when emotion gets the best of them.

Right now, I just can’t.
