I guess #ThursdayThoughts is a real thing on Twitter.
So, here are a few inspirational thoughts I came across today. I kind of needed them this morning.
We’re on Day No. 2 of The Weed being sick. He’s a mostly decent sick person. He makes his own grilled cheese sandwiches and acutely throws away his tissues.
Still, I’m kind of running scared from him. I don’t want his cold. I have been drinking golden milk like a fiend. Turns out, I really like the stuff.
Also, turns out, it might be helping me fight off a cancer recurrence.
Multiple studies have demonstrated turmeric’s cancer-fighting properties. According to the authors of a 2015 study, ‘Research to date suggests that chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, and most chronic diseases are closely linked, and the antioxidant properties of curcumin can play a key role in the prevention and treatment of chronic inflammation disease.’
Curcumin is a substance in turmeric.
My golden milk recipe is simple: Pour a half cup of milk, add some ground black pepper, spoon in some turmeric, and, drop in a bit of ginger. Then, microwave it for a minute or so. Enjoy!
