Nate Berkus likes my rug

So, it’s a nice little Sunday at Casa de Weed.
We enjoyed a masked-up, socially distanced, outdoor visit with friends. We had a delicious lunch of Spanish cheeses and chorizo.
And, Nate Berkus liked my rug.

Some background: Earlier this week, Berkus (designer to the stars and host of the TV show, Nate and Jeremiah By Design) posted a lovely photo to Twitter of him decorating a holiday room with neutral colors, decrying the use of red tinsel at the holidays.
I responded with my approval for the disuse of all things tinsel’d, while sharing a photo of our new rugs and holiday mantle. I said: ‘Red tinsel is the devil’s business. Neutrals w/pops of color, texture = Holiday happiness.’
In response, Berkus provided the social media equivalent of a thumbs-up: He liked the photo.
I shouted to The Weed, ‘Nate likes the rug! Nate likes the rug!’
Basically, this has proved: It’s the little (and unexpected) things that count after a week of schlepping to stores (wearing a festive mask) for last-minute gifts. Tracking lost packages. And, coming to terms with possibly being swindled by an Etsy artist.
Happy holidays, one and all!
